2017 NATIONAL POL CHAMPION, SAMARA HUGGINS

Samara Huggins  a senior at Whitefield Academy  in Mableton, GA won the title of 2017 Poetry Out Loud National Champion. Samara won the final round with her recitation of "The Farmer" by W. D. Erhart. The second-place winner was Nicholas Amador, a junior at Punahou School from Honolulu, Hawaii.  ​The third-place winner was Iree Mann, a junior at Syosset High School from Jericho, New York.

​Congratulations and THANK YOU to our 2017 State Champion, Zachary Howatt  for representing the state of North Dakota at the 2017  National POL Competition in Washington, DC!  We wish you the best  next fall at Minnesota State University Moorhead  as you pursue a degree in English-Writing and Film Production . We are so proud of your accomplishments and wish you well!
